Strategic Intent

Zenworkz designs, creates and facilitates development programs which result in the skills growth of individuals, teams, executives and communities.

Our underlying intent is to achieve excellence through engaging program delivery, comprehensive, well-researched knowledge and information content; positive and productive customer relationships; a structured yet innovative approach to program design, best-practice and user-friendly technology and a commitment to community citizenship.

These underpinning themes support our achievement of industry leading performance in the key areas of our business - Program Development, Program Delivery, Customer, Community and Partner Relationships, Corporate Governance, Environmental Responsibility and Financial Performance.

Our Strategic Intent is our long-term plan and, as such, is reviewed every two (2) years. This version was approved in May 2007.

Our Strategic Targets are reviewed quarterly and were approved in April 2007.

Program Development.

Our vision for Program Development is to develop industry benchmark programs in the field of leadership and facilitation.

We will achieve this vision by:

  • Creating the Zenworkz System© integrating all Zenworkz Programs© into a comprehensive program which is structured through a modular approach
  • Developing Zenworkz Programs© holistically to include pre-program diagnosis, program emphasis and measurement of learner progress and program effectiveness
  • Developing Zenworkz Programs© which are accessible in traditional and online media formats
  • Ensuring every Zenworkz Program© is underpinned by comprehensive research taking the best of historical and current information and applying this information into the context of the Zenworkz Learner©
  • Ensuring every Zenworkz Program© is engaging, inspiring and meaningful to each Zenworkz Learner


We will know that we have achieved Leadership in Program Development when:

  • Zenworkz Programs© are identified by our competitors as the professional standard to match
  • Zenworkz Programs© are recognized by industry bodies and peers
    Our industry bodies, peers and competitors follow our lead or seek our advice
  • Zenworkz is considered a "trainer of choice" - attracting, recruiting and retaining the best people

Program Delivery

Our vision for Program Delivery is to enable a Zenworkz Learner© to access Zenworkz Programs© through their channel of choice in one or a combination of the following access points:

  • Face-to-face learning with a Zenworkz Facilitator© at a client nominated location
  • Onsite, personal learning at the Zenworkz Centre©
  • Telephone based coaching/mentoring support
  • Online access via the Zenworkz website


We will achieve this vision by:

  • Creating two distinct categories of Zenworkz Programs© - Zenworkz Facilitators © and Zenworkz Customised©
  • Designing and documenting specific Zenworkz Learner Management Processe© to enable them to easily access Zenworkz Programs© through their nominated access point
  • Designing the Zenworkz website to support easy, intuitive and user-friendly access to Zenworkz Online Programs©
  • Incorporating the choice of access point into all pre-program, client consultation


We will know that we have achieved Leadership in Program Delivery when:

  • Zenworkz Documentation© assists in achieving RTO status
  • Zenworkz customers provide unsolicited feedback on the value of having a range of access methods available to them
  • Zenworkz Learners© initiate their preferred access point


Customer, Community and Partner Relationships

Our vision for Customer, Community and Partner Relationships is to proactively engage with our customers, community and partners in the areas of:

  • Enhancing and growing our joint capabilities and skills
  • Development our business in harmony with our customers and communities
  • Exploring issues of joint interest or concern


We will achieve this vision by:

  • Ongoing dialogues with all our stakeholders
  • Providing mechanisms for information, contact, and feedback

Environmental Responsibility

Our vision for Environmental Excellence is to have a reputation for environmental leadership in the following areas:

  • Materials selection within Zenworkz facilities
  • Materials recycling
  • Water management and usage
  • Waste management


We will achieve this vision by:

  • Documentation of our policies and procedures in the above listed areas
  • Incorporation of our policies and procedures in the Zenworkz Operating Creed available on our website
  • Incorporating green accounting measures in all business development and business practice decisions


We will know that we have achieved Leadership in Environmental Excellence when:

  • Staff and management are recognized to proactively act as custodians of the environment
  • Stakeholders and environmental interest groups regard Zenworkz as a valued partner
  • Peers, industry bodies and our community welcome our advice and inputs
